Introduce students to the beauty of symmetry with the Exploring Symmetry Lesson Plan, where students receive a half-design pattern (Star, House, Crab, or DNA) and complete the missing half using visual symmetry.

The lesson is designed for use with the Mega Mosaic Box, containing 4 baseplates and 2,000 mosaic bricks. With enough bricks for all four patterns, each student in a group selects a different half-design to complete, encouraging variety and creative thinking.

Students strengthen skills in reflection, symmetry, spatial awareness, mathematical reasoning, and artistic designwhile producing stunning mirrored mosaics.
