1️⃣ Choose Your Baseplate

Start by selecting your baseplate color at the top of the screen.

• On mobile, tap the dropdown menu.
• On desktop, click one of the baseplate images.
  The plate you choose will appear as your building surface.

2️⃣ Pick Your Brick Color

Under “Designing With:” you’ll see your active brick color.

• Click any color in the brick palette to change it.
• The selected brick will appear inside the “Designing With” box.
• You can switch colors at any time.

💡 Tip: Each brick has a thin gray outline so you can see your mosaic clearly.

3️⃣ Start Building

Click or tap directly on the 16×16 baseplate grid to place a 1×1 brick.

• Desktop: Click and drag your mouse to paint continuously.
• Mobile: Touch and drag your finger to draw lines.
  If you make a mistake, click Undo or use the Eraser to remove bricks.

4️⃣ Clear or Undo Your Design

• Undo – removes the last change you made.
• Eraser – lets you erase individual bricks.
• Clear Design – clears the entire board (you’ll be asked to confirm first).

5️⃣ Check Your Brick Count

Below the grid, you’ll see a live Brick Count showing:

• How many total bricks you’ve placed.
• How many of each color are used — perfect for planning real builds!

6️⃣ Download Your Creation

When you’re finished, choose:

• Download PDF – prints your design on a page with color legend and copyright note (best for printing).
• Download PNG – saves your design as an image to your device (best for sharing or posting).

7️⃣ Share or Rebuild!

Show off your creation by uploading your mosaic to the Brick Art Gallery (coming soon!)
When you’re ready for a new idea, clear the board and start again — there are endless designs to build!
